FUEL CELLS
Fuel Cells provide WATER and electricity by converting natural gas into energy. It is now possible to use Methane gas as the power source. For lunar applications, this is accomplished by installing several toilets, digging 2 ditches, and allowing waste to collect in one, while Methane gas forms in the other. The Methane gas is piped out to Fuel Cells, to the Steam Reforming unit of an FT reactor, or to a stove, to be used as cooking gas.

Vacuum Walled Buildings
The architecture of Lunar and Martian buildings will be based upon vacuum technology. Thermos bottles are based upon this theory. The glass walls of the building would be silvered on the inside to reflect heat rays (which behave like light rays), preventing heat from escaping or entering. Between the walls is a vacuum, which prevents heat conduction through the walls. Conduction is also reduced by insulating material on the exterior.
